Description

The Rod-Runner PRO 5 is a white fishing rod carrier that keeps up to five rods and reels together. Carry your setups in one hand and leave the other free for tackle. Rig your rods the night before, then grab and go fishing!

Carry five rods with less hassle

Take several setups to the bank, beach, pier or boat without juggling loose rods. The PRO suits anglers who want more rods ready for different lures and species. In addition, its comfort grip handle makes trips between your vehicle and fishing spot easier.

The standard assembly includes three spinning and fly rod holders, two baitcast and conventional holders, five attached bungee cords and two removable legs. The modular plates and handle hold everything together. For a different mix of holders, explore our custom Rod-Runner caddies.

A fishing rod carrier for the whole trip

Keep your rods organized while you load, transport, rig and rinse your gear. The removable legs elevate rods and reels above the ground. Meanwhile, the holders help keep separate setups from tangling together.

  • Carry spinning, baitcast, conventional and fly fishing setups.
  • Remove the legs and clip them behind the handle for compact storage.
  • Swap holders between compatible Rod-Runner caddies, racks and mounts.
  • Rinse with fresh water after fishing, then let your gear dry.
  • Store an empty or loaded caddy using the optional Rod-Runner wall mount.

Load securely and spend more time fishing

Load the center holder first and unload it last. Then balance the remaining rods from side to side before setting the caddy down. For moving vehicles or vessels, secure the caddy with tie downs and keep reels below the bungee cords. Always load fly reels below the cords and clip them in place.

What are Uni-Mounts and Tri-Mounts?

How do I Load a Fly Rod?

Easy! Slide the rod into the holder with the fly reel below the bungee, then secure the strap. The Spinning & Fly holder is preferred. Always keep fly reels below the secured bungee; the above-bungee quick-access method is for compatible non-fly setups only.

Loading, Transport and Storage 🔒
What is Quick-Access Loading?

When fishing, leave the bungee straps locked and insert fishing rods with the reels above the bungee instead of below so your setups can slide in and out quickly while fishing. Loading rods above the locked bungees also helps elevate reels higher off the ground. Switch back to reel-below-bungee loading for moving vehicles or vessels.

How to install Legs or Swap Holders?

Pull the legs from the rear storage clips and slide them straight into the upper-plate openings. To remove a leg, brace the plate with your thumb and pull straight out without twisting. To remove a holder, press its two rear tabs inward and slide it off. To install a holder, just slide it in until it clicks.

How to Secure Rods during Transport?

In moving vehicles or vessels, keep reels below the bungees and fasten the straps. Strap the caddy securely to the vehicle or vessel as well. Check rod-tip clearance and keep the load clear of passengers and vehicle controls. Fit depends on the rods and available space.

How to Balance and Store Rod-Runners?

Load the center holder first and unload it last. Balance rods between the left and right sides before setting the caddy down. If using the center rod, move the remaining side rod into the center for improved balance. The separate Wall Mount helps save space by storing Rod-Runners vertically; make sure to allow extra ceiling clearance to lift the loaded caddy on and off.
