Description

Save garage space with the Rod-Runner caddy wall mount. Hang your PRO or Express caddy empty or loaded with rods and reels. Keep your gear together so you can grab your caddy and go fishing when you are ready.

Rod-Runner caddy wall mount features

  • Heavy-duty powder-coated steel.
  • Vinyl-coated hook to help reduce shifting.
  • Extended backing for extra wall clearance.

The thick bracket holds the caddy away from the wall. This gives reels more clearance than a flat mounting position. Meanwhile, the vinyl-coated hook helps the loaded caddy sit steadily on the bracket.

Choose a height with room for your rods

Before installation, measure your longest rods and check your ceiling height. Leave extra clearance for the lifting motion needed to hook and unhook the caddy. The rod tips rise above their resting position during that movement.

For lower ceilings, mount the bracket low enough to provide room overhead. Keep rod butts above the floor, and check the full loading and removal path before drilling. Also balance rods from side to side so the caddy hangs straight.

Store the whole setup and grab and go

With the caddy on the wall mount, you can organize your rods and swap compatible rod holders. When it is time to leave, lift off the loaded caddy and carry your gear together.

Use fasteners suited to the mounting surface and total load. For outdoor installations or heavier setups, choose suitable heavy-duty hardware. Concrete requires suitable masonry fasteners. Seek professional help if needed.

How do I Load a Fly Rod?

Easy! Slide the rod into the holder with the fly reel below the bungee, then secure the strap. The Spinning & Fly holder is preferred. Always keep fly reels below the secured bungee; the above-bungee quick-access method is for compatible non-fly setups only.

Loading, Transport and Storage 🔒
What is Quick-Access Loading?

When fishing, leave the bungee straps locked and insert fishing rods with the reels above the bungee instead of below so your setups can slide in and out quickly while fishing. Loading rods above the locked bungees also helps elevate reels higher off the ground. Switch back to reel-below-bungee loading for moving vehicles or vessels.

How to install Legs or Swap Holders?

Pull the legs from the rear storage clips and slide them straight into the upper-plate openings. To remove a leg, brace the plate with your thumb and pull straight out without twisting. To remove a holder, press its two rear tabs inward and slide it off. To install a holder, just slide it in until it clicks.

How to Secure Rods during Transport?

In moving vehicles or vessels, keep reels below the bungees and fasten the straps. Strap the caddy securely to the vehicle or vessel as well. Check rod-tip clearance and keep the load clear of passengers and vehicle controls. Fit depends on the rods and available space.

How to Balance and Store Rod-Runners?

Load the center holder first and unload it last. Balance rods between the left and right sides before setting the caddy down. If using the center rod, move the remaining side rod into the center for improved balance. The separate Wall Mount helps save space by storing Rod-Runners vertically; make sure to allow extra ceiling clearance to lift the loaded caddy on and off.
